Dr Kanu Achinivu, Consultant Neuropsychiatrist

Dr Achinivu specialises in the neuropsychiatric assessment and treatment of adult patients with mental illness in the context of Neurodevelopmental disorders or acquired brain injury some of whom may fall within the category of mental impairment.
 
He works as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist in the NHS and is also lead Consultant Neuropsychiatrist with the Olive Carter Unit of Hunters Moor Neurorehabilitation Centre for the West Midlands – a 10 bedded neurobehavioural unit for adults with acquired brain injury and neuropsychiatric complications in the private sector.

Within the NHS he runs an Adult Neurodevelopmental Disorders Clinic which specialises in the assessment and treatment of adults with complex Neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders (Aspergers Syndrome) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He also runs a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Clinic.
